Hey there! I am currently a journalism student at the University of Hong Kong, majoring in both journalism and politics. It is expected that I will finish the undergraduate programme in 2018.
I have had experiences in working on both print and TV journalism. From June to August 2015, I became an intern reporter at media startup Hong Kong Free Press (HKFP), a new, not-fot-profit and completely independent English language news source for Hong Kong. I have written more than 100 news articles for the website, ranging from hard-news stories like politics and crime, to lighter stories like viral stuff on social media. You can access the stories by visiting the HKFP page on my blog.
During the fall semester of 2015, I became an international exchange student at the Danish School of Media and Journalism (DMJX), where I gained hands-on experiences in producing TV news stories. I reported on a wide range of topics, including the lives of refugees in Denmark, organic farming and the use of social robots. The clips are accessible via the TV journalism tab.
During the Occupy Central protests in Hong Kong, I also worked as a correspondent for the “Live: Verified Updates” Facebook page. I was responsible for reporting on the ground of the protest camp and clearing up rumours surrounding the protests.
Please feel free to click on any of the tabs above to find out more about my journalism career! You will also be able to read some of my journalistic work on those pages.
